Chocolate Almond Filling

2 eggs, slightly beaten

1/8 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup of sugar

3 teaspoons cornstarch

1 ounce (square) chocolate

2 cups whole milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1/4 cup Amaretto liquor

Combine eggs, salt, sugar and corn starch. Stirring gently slowly incorporate it with the milk.

In a medium size pot on low, melt the chocolate square. Slowly add milk/egg mixture.  Turn up heat to medium high. Continue to cook and stir until mixture coats a spoon.  Remove from heat, cool. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Stir in 1/4 cup Amaretto Liquor.

* Note you may substitute 2 tsp. of almond extract for the liquor.
